Belle Banne Scraper Type - U

Unique scraper:

On traditional scrapers, the center blades show more wear because the material debris is mostly closer to the center of the belt (Diagram A). As a consequence, a gap begins to appear between the center of the scraper blade and the belt, which reduces the efficiency. Improvements have been made to traditional scrapers, such as dividing the blade into independent segments, but they do not achieve the performance of Belle Banne’s patented TYPE-U technology.

Type - U scraper concept

The scraper blade consisting of carbide blades (other designs are also possible) mounted on steel brackets vulcanized in rubber makes it possible to replace them quickly and easily. Due to the installation of steel springs at the ends of the scraper frame, minimal installation is required as all moving parts are outside the dirty zone.

The blade of the U-type scraper is arc-shaped and is pressed against the belt by means of springs. Thanks to this solution, the greatest pressure is exerted on the center of the belt and gradually decreases towards the edges of the belt. This distribution of force corresponds to the distribution of the material on the belt.

Greater wear of the blade in the center of the scraper does not affect the cleaning efficiency, because the arc shape and the use of pressure springs ensure constant contact of the blade with the belt.

Blade replacement

Thanks to the “cartridge” system, blade replacement is quick and easy.
