Iklumet is a unique solution for joining PVC/PU tapes with a thickness of 1.4-5.2 mm operating under relatively light loads, developed and patented by MLT Minet Lacing Technology SA. The solution consists in sticking a patch connected with a polyacetal stick into the tape. Removing the rod allows the belt to be disassembled for cleaning, repair, maintenance, etc.

The most important features and advantages of connections with Iklumet :

• a vulcanizing press or ultrasonic welding machine is needed for installation;
• the connection point remains flexible and pliable, which makes Iklumet a suitable solution for joining trough belts;
• a properly selected and correctly installed batten does not thicken the tape profile;
• ease of disassembly and subsequent reconnection of the tape for handling, cleaning, transport;
• the possibility of making the rod from stainless steel, which guarantees the highest holding force, or from polyacetal – compatible with magnetic conveyors or metal detectors, or in situations where the action of magnetic fields or contact of the product with metal is highly undesirable;
• the connection point remains tight, resistant to dust, liquids, greases, oils, fats;
• connections are available in various colors;
• available version made of white PVC with FDA approval – for tapes in contact with unpackaged food.
