Conveyor rubber belts

Conveyor rubber belts – detailed information on the construction and main features of rubber conveyor belts can be found in the subcategory “Belt construction”

In order to properly select the rubber belt for the conveyor, you should prepare information about the following parameters:

Belt parameters:

  • width
  • circumferential length
  • thickness

Execution:

  • open
  • hot vulcanized into the circumference
  • cold glued to the perimeter
  • ready for gluing/vulcanization
  • mechanically connected

Additional data:

  • machine manufacturer
  • symbol of previously used tapes
  • any additional comments

Conveyor data:

  • drive drum diameter
  • return drum diameter
  • tape travel:
    • across the sliding table
    • on rolls
    • after rollers in the trough
  • inclination in degrees when transported at an angle
  • is it an elevator?

Transported material and working conditions:

  • product temperature
  • ambient temperature
  • type of transported product
  • belt load
  • travel speed
  • external conditions (dust, dust, oil, etc.)

Rubber band designation:

Example: EP400/3, 4+2, Y
EP – belt core made of polyester-polyamide plies
400 – belt tensile strength in Newtons per millimeter of belt width
3 – number of plies
4+2 – thickness of rubber covers: upper (bearing) + lower (running)
Y – abrasion class of the rubber pad: max. 150mm3 _

Existing types of conveyor belts

Cover types:

  • A – intended for the food industry
  • C – chemically resistant
  • E – antistatic
  • G – oil resistant
  • K – antistatic and flame retardant
  • R – resistant to low temperatures
  • T – resistant to high temperatures
  •

Cover abrasion classes:

  • W – max. 90 mm3
  • X – max. 120 mm3
  • Y – max. 150 mm3
  • Z – max. 250 mm3
