The length of the passage is the distance between the axis of the drive or tension drum and the axis of the roller of the next or previous set of idlers. In order to protect these rollers, the life of the belt and its edges, and the possibility of the belt bending into a trough, a minimum length of transition must be maintained depending on the angle of the trough structure (angle A).
